Whimsical Easter Decoration

Add a plate a decorated cupcakes on a cake platter for a fun and festive centerpiece. The recipe for these cupcakes is shown below:

Cupcakes:

1 Pkg. Funfetti cake mix

Cream Cheese Frosting (recipe shown below)

Garnish with pink or yellow bunny Peeps

Preparer and bake cake as directed on package mix. Remove cupcakes from tins and let cool completely

• Spread a thin layer of Cream Cheese frosting over cupcakes
• Garnish with Peeps and other decorations as desired
• Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Cream Cheese Frosting

½  cup butter

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese

5-6 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Green food coloring (1/2 – 1 teaspoon) for desired color

In a large bowl beat, together cream cheese and butter ( best is both are at room temperature).  When mixture is smooth, gradually add powdered sugar and beat until desired consistency is achieved.  Add food color and vanilla.  Pipe frosting on cupcake to achieve a grassy appearance and then add other desired décor.
